Anthony Precourt is the Founder, Majority Owner and Chief Executive Officer of Austin FC and Two Oak Ventures. Austin FC is Major League Soccer’s 27th member club playing matches at the privately financed, state of the art, soccer-specific Q2 Stadium located near The Domain. Austin FC's training grounds are located at the St. David's Performance Center, a state of the art, privately financed training facility located just seven miles from Q2 Stadium.
Launching the Verde & Black has been the dream of a lifetime for Precourt. He originated and led all planning efforts to bring Austin its first major league sports team, playing a key role in the negotiation and finalization of the historic lease and development agreement with the City of Austin, the club’s foundational charter agreements with Major League Soccer, and the development of the crest, colors and vision for the newly formed expansion team. For this work, the Club was nominated for Sports Business Journal’s Sports Team of the Year award and Precourt was named Austin Business Journal's Best CEO of the Year in 2022.
Since 2008, Precourt has also served as the Managing Partner of Precourt Capital Management, an Austin-based private investment firm and family office advisor. From 2001 to 2008, Precourt was a senior executive and portfolio manager for WHV Investment Management, a public-equity investment management company. Precourt started his career with financial analyst roles at both Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Banc Alex Brown.
Precourt and his family have prioritized strong commitments to philanthropy through both the Precourt Foundation, and the 4ATX Foundation; the latter of which he founded in 2019 as the Club’s way of giving back to the community it represents so passionately.
Precourt graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in political science and later earned a master’s degree in business administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Precourt, his wife Agatha, and their three children enjoy boating on Austin’s beautiful lakes, skiing in his native Colorado, and searching for adventure all over the world. Anthony is now three states shy of visiting all 50 states in the USA and has visited over 40 countries across six continents.
