Angel Rivillo

Angel Rivillo, born in Toulouse France but raised in Venezuela, started his professional career being drafted from Creighton University to the MLS Dallas Burn, played abroad in Toulouse, France (DIII Toulouse Fontaine) and in Venezuela (DI Deportivo Tachira), returned to the US and played for the Milwaukee Wave, Chicago Fire Reserve, Atlanta Silverbacks, Philadelphia KIXX, and Pennsylvania Roar. He was also fortunate to have played for the Venezuelan Youth National Teams (U15, U17, and U23) and Men’s US Futsal National Team.

Passionate about the game of soccer, Angel Rivillo has brought his enthusiasm to coaching for over 18 years, including MLS Academy (MNUFC and Philadelphia Union), Development Academy (Shattuck St. Mary’s) and ECNL (FC Delco), HS and Collegiate experience (Penn State Abbington University and St. Joseph’s University). With his many years experience, he has been involved in the soccer industry in almost all aspects of the game including as coach or director of Summer Camps and/or Trainings at Minnesota United FC, Milwaukee Wave (MISL), Philadelphia Union (MLS), Philadelphia KIXX (MISL), Chicago Fire-Juniors / Elm Grove (MLS), Atlanta Silverbacks (USL), as well as, setting up Futsal Training Curriculums for U16/U18 Philadelphia Union MLS Academy teams.

Coach Rivillo has also been involved in the community, as an ambassador of soccer, running after school programs, grass root soccer programs and soccer foundations to help the most needy, such as Soccer in the streets (GA), Starfinder Foundation (PA), and Wave of Kindness (WI). During these programs, primary focus was on teaching soccer, providing school assistance for foreign students, as well as providing life lessons through the game of soccer.

Angel Rivillo, holds a Computer Science degree from Creighton University, currently holds an USSF “A” License, and resides in Hutto TX, with his wife, Lourdes, and his three children, Mairia, Amelie and Santiago.
