For the third year in a row, Austin FC’s nonprofit arm 4ATX Foundation and Capital Area Youth Soccer Association (CAYSA) teamed up to provide club soccer scholarships to local young players. The scholarships, aimed at eliminating financial barriers of access to soccer, are available to a wider range of players this year than in the past.

“We’re delighted to partner with CAYSA once again to help make sure that all young soccer players in our community can play soccer, regardless of financial background,” said 4ATX Foundation Executive Director Kaitlin Mauro.

This year, 4ATX Foundation and CAYSA awarded scholarships to 25 young players, either fully or partially covering the costs for them to participate in youth soccer this fall. The scholarships are especially focused on helping young female soccer players and young players facing socio-economic barriers to participation.

"The continued generosity of Austin FC and the 4ATX Foundation is truly helping to break down financial barriers for the youth soccer community in Central Texas," said CAYSA President David Buckler. "Extending the eligibility criteria this year has enabled CAYSA to provide financial support to more players than before.”

Across three years of the program, 4ATX Foundation has invested more than $117,000 in club soccer scholarships for 145 local young soccer players.
