Austin FC II fell to St. Louis City SC 2 on Friday night at Parmer Field at St. David’s Performance Center by a scoreline of 1-0.

The two teams stayed at level for the first half with both teams making important saves. Goalkeeper Marcus Alstrup made a crucial save in the 40th minute to stop St. Louis City 2 taking the lead before halftime.

The visitors eventually went ahead in the 66th minute as Brendan McSorley scored.  The Verde & Black had a chance to tie the game in the 91st minute with a shot from Micah Burton, but the shot sailed wide of the post and the match ended 1-0.
