Austin FC II fell by a score of 4-1 on the road at Colorado Rapids 2 on Friday night.
Despite an even first half, Austin found itself 2-0 down at the break with goals in the final five minutes of the period from Colorado’s top scorer Mamadou Billo Diop. Billo Diop then completed his hattrick in the second half and James Cameron added a fourth for the hosts shortly after.
New signing Batuhan Arıcı subbed in to make his debut in Verde & Black, and Ervin Torres got the Verde & Black on the board with a header off an assist from Jorge Alastuey in the 65th minute.
