Austin FC II fell 4-2 to conference-leaders St. Louis City 2 on Friday night at Parmer Field.

St. Louis came out hot and scored four goals by three different players in the opening 24 minutes of the match, then added a fourth before halftime.

Despite the large deficit, the Verde & Black responded well in the second half and were rewarded with a pair of high-quality late goals. Ervin Torres put Austin on the board in the 9th minute with a strike from outside the box, and Jorge Alastuey spun his defender and placed an excellent shot in the top left corner to provide some consolation for ATXFC II.
