Austin FC II fell to Portland Timbers2 in the team's final regular season home match on Friday night at Parmer Field.
ATXFC II got off to a fast start with an early goal in the 12th minute. Peter Grogan played the ball back and forth with Jimmy Farkarlun, whose shot past the Portland goalkeeper put the Verde & Black on the board. ATXFC II created multiple other chances throughout the half but were unable to extend the lead, and Timbers2 equalized with a goal from Charles Ondo to tie it at the half.
Both teams showed strong offensive and defensive efforts in a well-rounded second half. Ondo found the net once again to win the match for Timbers2 in the 80th minute.
