Austin FC II head to the Pacific Northwest to face the Portland Timbers2 for the first matchup between the teams this season. The Verde & Black will go up against Timbers2 Friday evening for a 10:00 p.m. CT kickoff. The match will be available to watch on Apple TV with MLS Season Pass.

Austin FC II’s match with the Portland Timbers2 will be the team’s seventh away match and 13th match overall of the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro regular season.
The Verde & Black come off a win over North Texas SC, the reigning MLS NEXT Pro champions. ATXFC II played with well-rounded effort against North Texas throughout the entire match. The Verde & Black managed NTXSC’s attacks only allowing one goal as they came out on top with two by Jorge Alastuey and Micah Burton.
ATXFC II’s third regulation win of the season pushed the team up two places to sit at 11th in the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Western Conference standings.
Portland Timbers2 Outlook
The Portland Timbers2 are led by Serge Dinkota as the team’s second head coach since its MLS NEXT Pro move from the USL league. The club skipped the 2021 USL season to return to the pitch in 2022 as a part of MLS NEXT Pro.
With only two matches in their June calendar, both at home, the Timbers2 are set to host Austin FC II for the first time this season. The team comes off a loss to Ventura County FC, whom ATXFC II beat on the road back in May.
