Austin FC II will play their final home regular season match at Parmer Field at St. David’s Performance Center on Friday, September 15 at 8:00 p.m. CT. It will be the third and final meeting between the two sides, as Colorado claimed the victory in the first meeting and the second match resulted in a 3-3 draw.

Austin FC II Outlook

With only two games remaining in the regular season, the Verde & Black will aim to close the regular season on a strong note. Throughout the campaign, Austin and Colorado have remained near the top of the table in the Western Conference standings.

Last time out, the Verde & Black earned a point on the road against MNUFC2, playing to a 1-1 draw on Sunday. First-team loanee Alfonso Ocampo-Chávez scored his third goal of the season, placing the ball out of the keeper's reach near the top left corner.

ATXFC II will get back midfielders Bobosi Byaruhanga and Micah Burton, after both players were absent for the MNUFC2 match as they represented their home nations during the September international break. Austin has had four different goal scorers in their last four matches, earning four points during that span.

Colorado Rapids 2 Outlook

Rapids 2 clinched the number one seed in the Western Conference on Sunday, defeating Real Monarchs 2-0. With securing the one seed, Colorado secured a first-round bye in the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs.

In his 18th appearance this season, forward Rémi Cabral scored his 14th goal of the season in Sunday’s victory, ranking third best in MLSNP. Midfielder Oliver Larraz – whose 51 key passes lead the league – recorded his ninth goal in the victory, bringing his goal contribution tally up to 17 this season.

Rapids 2 leads the league in goals (64) and assists (46) and is the only team in the league that has three players with at least seven assists – Marlon Vargas, Yosuke Hanya, and Larraz.
