Austin FC II put on an offensive showcase on Friday night at Parmer Field, beating LAFC 2 4-1 behind goals from four different players. The win extended the team's unbeaten streak to four matches.
Austin FC II’s Jules Bery made his first MLSNP start under the lights at Parmer Field. First-team loanee CJ Fodrey brought a quick spark to the holiday match finding the net in the 6th minute to give the Verde & Black the lead, and ATXFC II doubled its advantage shortly after with a goal by top scorer Peter Grogan to close the half.
LAFC 2 got themselves on the scoreboard in the 54th minute via a penalty kick from DeCarlo Guerra, but the Black and Gold’s comeback effort was quickly foiled as Ervin Torres scored just a minute after entering the match as a substitute to restore the two-goal cushion.
Another goal from Micah Burton sealed the deal, and Austin FC Academy product Chuy Moreno made his debut to wrap up a strong night for the team.
