Austin FC II played to a 1-1 draw at BC Place against Whitecaps FC 2 to extend their unbeaten streak to seven (7) matches. Whitecaps FC 2 garnered an extra point on the night by winning the ensuing shootout, 4-3.

During the first 45 minutes, Austin had attempted 13 shots, with four (4) of them being on target. In the third minute, Bobosi Byaruhanga took a shot that hit the crossbar after a takeaway. ATXFC II goalkeeper Damian Las made an impressive save by extending out to block Lowell Wright’s shot. Micah Burton also had a chance but his shot hit the post after he hustled to take the ball away from Whitecaps FC 2 goalkeeper Max Anchor.

In the 62nd minute, Valentin Noël scored his sixth goal of the season to give Austin the lead. Anthony De Anda played a cross that went over Anchor's head and landed near the far post, where Noël was able to control the ball inside the box and place it in the back of the net. Mihail Gherasimencov scored a long free kick that resulted in the equalizer for WFC2 in the 87th minute to send the match to penalty kicks.

The hosts won the shootout 4-3 to garner an extra point.
