Austin FC II fell to LAFC2 in 2026 MLS NEXT Pro Western Conference Semifinals on Sunday night at Parmer Field.
Both sides had chances throughout the match, and Austin's defense held strong through 90 minutes with goalkeeper Erik Lauta making six key saves. But a scrappy late goal in added time by Sebastian Nava saw LAFC2 advance to the next round at ATXFC II's expense.
The Verde & Black conclude a record-breaking season under Head Coach Jason Shackell. Austin sealed its postseason spot in Matchweek 23 with a home win over Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2, the earliest playoff clinch in MLS NEXT Pro history. The team also set a new league record for most consecutive wins and tied the record for most overall wins in a regular season.
