Austin FC II fell 3-1 to North Texas SC on Sunday in a match that featured two lengthy weather delays at Choctaw Stadium.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 22nd minute as Herbert Endeley struck a powerful shot from outside the box to the top left corner. North Texas SC doubled their lead in the 38th minute as Hope Avayevu placed his shot in the back of the net. Austin’s best chance of the first half came from Valentin Noël, as his long shot forced a diving save from North Texas SC’s goalkeeper Antonio Carrera.

José Mulato scored the third for North Texas SC shortly after the break, and Sébastien Pineau responded for ATXFC II with his team-leading seventh goal of the season in the 69th minute. Cheick Touré’s cross found Pineau who flicked it in with his back heel.
