Hot made his first start in the match, and Austin FC Academy player Erick Feliciano made his MLS NEXT Pro debut as a substitute. The Verde & Black displayed effective defensive efforts to keep the match scoreless at the half.
Austin FC II created multiple chances in the second half and were rewarded with a late goal by Hot to secure all three points. The Verde & Black now occupy fifth place in the MLSNP Western Conference ahead of a three-week break.
