Austin FC II tied 2-2 with Ventura County FC on Friday night at Parmer Field at St. David’s Performance Center, claiming one point on the night.
ATXFC II took an early lead in the 17th minute. Rubén Bonachera made his first career assist with a perfect cross to Sébastien Pineau, who headed home the opportunity. 20 minutes later, Pineau scored again to put Austin ahead 2-0.
The visitors eventually pulled a goal back in the 55th minute with a goal from Aaron Bibout. Late in the match, Ventura County found an equalizer through Erik Hernandez, and VCFC won the ensuing penalty shootout as well to earn the extra point on offer.
