Austin FC II earned a 1-0 away win over current MLS NEXT Pro Western Conference leaders Ventura County FC on Tuesday night, thanks to a second-half goal by Jimmy Farkarlun.
ATXFC II played strong all around in the first half, securing four shots though none found the back of the net. The effort on offense eventually paid off in the 69th minute as Jimmy Farkarlun netted his second goal of the season. Ventura County FC responded with a quick attempt to even the score, but Jeorgio Kocevski's goal was ruled out as his teammate Jose Luis Magana Jr. was caught offside.
Goalkeeper Charlie Farrar made his second start in the match and kept a second consecutive shutout, playing a key role in the Verde & Black walking away with the win. Austin FC II has now earned five of a possible six points from its last two matches.
