Austin FC II Defeat Earthquakes II 2-0 to Extend Unbeaten Streak to Six Matches

Austin FC II defeated Earthquakes II 2-0 to extend its unbeaten streak to six (6) matches. Sébastien Pineau recorded his second brace of the season, bringing his total goals to four (4) in the last five (5) contests. Pineau now leads the Verde & Black in goals scored with six (6) this season.

Goalkeeper Damian Las made several saves for Austin in the first half. In the sixth minute, San Jose was awarded a penalty kick after a foul in the box. Jose David Serrano shot the PK for Quakes II but was denied by Las to keep the match scoreless.

Austin broke through in the 50th minute on a rebound from Pineau. Shortly after coming on as a substitute, Emmanuel Johnson dribbled his way into the box and fired his shot that bounced off the post but Pineau was there for the put-back to give Austin the 1-0 lead.

In the 89th minute, Pineau doubled the lead for Austin, securing the victory. Pineau dribbled from his own half and unleashed a powerful shot from just outside the box that sailed into the net past Quakes II goalkeeper Emmanuel Ochoa.
