Austin FC II took down North Texas SC in the second derby meetup of the season between the teams this season, winning 2-0 on Saturday night in Arlington thanks to goals by Jorge Alastuey and Micah Burton.
Alastuey put the Verde & Black on the board with a shot to the top corner, set up by a smooth assist from Burton in the ninth minute. Austin’s backline handled NTSC's attack while goalkeeper Erik Lauta stayed sharp with two key saves, one off a set piece attempt. Burton sealed the deal with a goal in first-half stoppage time.
Lauta saw out his first clean sheet of the season in the second half to help ATXFC II head home with three points.
