Austin FC II announced today that the club signed forward Stefan Dobrijevic and midfielder Patrick Cayelli to its MLS NEXT Pro roster. Both players join on two-year guaranteed deals through the end of the 2027 season with an option for 2028.
Austin FC selected Dobrijevic in the second round of the MLS SuperDraft 2026 with the 47th overall pick. The Uniontown, Ohio native appeared in 76 matches for the University of Akron during his collegiate career. He contributed 15 goals across four (4) seasons with Akron, including eight (8) goals and 12 assists in 21 matches as a senior in 2025, helping the Zips reach the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Tournament. He was named the Big East Offensive Player of the Year, to the All-Big East First Team and Big East All-Tournament Team, the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Team, and a United Soccer Coaches First-Team Scholar All-America honoree.
Austin FC selected Cayelli in the third round of the MLS SuperDraft 2026 with the 77th overall pick. The Anderson, South Carolina native appeared in 60 matches for the University of Pennsylvania during his collegiate career. He registered nine (9) goals and eight (8) assists in 17 games during his senior season, including a hattrick against William & Mary. He was a 2025 Unanimous First Team All-Ivy League selection, a 2025 Academic All-Ivy selection, and a CSC Academic All-District selection in both 2024 and 2025. In 2022, Cayelli made two (2) appearances for Greenville Triumph SC in USL League One while with the club on an academy contract.
