Austin FC II and MLS NEXT Pro announced today the details for the Club’s 2026 MLS NEXT Pro Western Conference Quarterfinal match. Austin FC II will face the winner of the Western Conference Play-in Round – either San Jose Earthquakes II or Tacoma Defiance – at Parmer Field at St. David’s Performance Center on Sunday, October 18. The match will kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT.
Austin FC Season Ticket Members and Waitlist Members will have access to a pre-sale for the match beginning at 10 a.m. CT on Tuesday, September 29. Tickets will go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. CT on Wednesday, September 30 via www.austinfc.com/austinfcii/tickets/. All MLS NEXT Pro Playoff matches will be available to watch on OneFootball and MLSNEXTPro.com.
MLS NEXT Pro’s Pick-Your-Opponent Playoff format returns for the first two playoff rounds: the Conference Quarterfinals and Conference Semifinals. As the No. 1 overall seed, Austin FC II is guaranteed to have hosting rights for all of its 2026 MLS NEXT Pro Playoff matches and first priority in picking its opponent for those two rounds.
From the available teams it could have chosen to face in the Conference Quarterfinal Round, Austin opted to play the winner of the Play-in Round between No. 8 seed San Jose and No. 9 seed Tacoma. Should Austin FC II advance to Conference Semifinals, the Club will then select and host an opponent from the remaining two lowest seeded teams on a date to be determined between October 23-25.
Austin FC II is back in the MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs for the first time since its 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Cup victory. Austin sealed its spot in Matchweek 23 with a home win over Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2, the earliest playoff clinch in MLS NEXT Pro history. The team also set a new league record for most consecutive wins and tied the record for most overall wins in a regular season.
