Austin FC II Draws Dynamo 2 With Late Penalty

Austin FC II tied 1-1 against Houston Dynamo 2 on Sunday night at Parmer Field.

Austin FC II showed a strong offensive effort during the first half. The Verde & Black attempted nine total shots, with Stefan Dobrijevic hitting the crossbar in their best attempt. Goalkeeper Erik Lauta made three key saves to send the match into the half scoreless.  

Dynamo Dos took the lead after the half with a goal from Arthur Sousa. In the 64th minute, Dren Dobruna entered the match as a substitute for his debut in Verde & Black. Following a weather delay in the 87th minute, ATXFCII showed its fight to find a stoppage time equalizer by Jorge Alastuey to send the match to penalties, where the visitors took the extra point.
