Austin FC II announced today several additions to its MLS NEXT Pro roster ahead of the team’s 2026 home opener on Sunday, March 1. The team currently comprises 19 players signed directly to MLS NEXT Pro contracts. Additionally, five (5) Austin FC first team players have signed loan agreements with ATXFC II making them eligible to compete in both MLS and MLS NEXT Pro matches, and eight (8) Austin FC Academy players have joined ATXFC II on amateur agreements.
Midfielder Micah Burton, forward CJ Fodrey, goalkeeper Damian Las, defender Riley Thomas, and midfielder Ervin Torres have signed loan agreements with Austin FC II. Each player remains eligible to compete in MLS matches at any time.
Defender Chuy Moreno, goalkeeper Cooper Roney, goalkeeper Liam Flynn, defender Vona Dievbiere, midfielder Landry Moncrief, defender Ryan Klinger, winger Aiden Hale, and defender Sebastian Seiterle all signed amateur agreements to join Austin FC II. Amateur agreements allow young players to train and compete for Austin FC II while maintaining collegiate and academy eligibility.
11 current and former Austin FC Academy players in total are on the 2026 Austin FC II roster, as Burton, Torres, and Mo Badawiya all competed with the Austin FC Academy before signing professional contracts with the Club.
The structure of Austin’s MLS NEXT Pro team is designed to allow for players at all levels of the organization to get the playing and training experience that is right for them at any given moment of their development throughout their season.
