Austin FC II beat their in-state rivals Houston Dynamo 2 by a score of 2-0 on the road on Friday night.
Austin struck early with Erick Feliciano finishing an assist from Stefan Dobrijevic to open the scoring in the second minute. Houston’s best chance came from a penalty kick attempt in the 40th minute but Austin goalkeeper Charlie Farrar denied the attempt to preserve the advantage.
Action picked up again in the 75th minute after Patrick Gryczewski came off the bench to double Austin’s lead for his first goal in Verde & Black. Houston had a few chances to put one in the back of the net but were unable to get past Farrar and ATXFC II’s backline, sending Austin home with all three points.
