Austin FC and YETI to Host Inaugural Match Watch Party on April 17 Outside the Long Center in Central Austin

Austin FC will kick off its inaugural MLS season on Saturday, April 17 on the road against LAFC at 4:30pm CDT; Austin FC and YETI will welcome Austin FC fans to the H-E-B Terrace and Hartman Concert Park outside the Long Center to watch the Club’s historic first-ever MLS match

Austin, TX – Austin FC will kick off the Club’s inaugural Major League Soccer (MLS) season on Saturday, April 17 against Los Angeles Football Club at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. To celebrate this milestone match, Austin FC will stage the first official Austin FC Watch Party Presented By YETI outside Austin’s Long Center. This free event for the community will enable Austin FC fans to watch the match live on FOX starting at 4:30pm CDT, as Austin FC takes on LAFC, the 2019 MLS Supporters’ Shield Winners and Runner-up in the 2021 CONCACAF Champions League. Food and beverage options, including alcoholic beverages for adults ages 21+, will be available for purchase for guests in attendance. Health and safety protocols will be implemented by the venue and are subject to change.

In accordance with current Long Center safety protocols, attendance for the outdoor Austin FC Watch Party Presented By YETI event will be limited to the first 1,000 persons. Austin FC fans wishing to attend are encouraged to sign up immediately to avoid missing out. Registration for the event is currently open and can be found here. Entrance to the event is available on a first come, first served basis. 

The Long Center will create ‘pods’, consisting of up to four (4) persons each. Temperature checks will be conducted at point of entry, and attendants are required to wear face masks. Food trucks and concession options for fans will also be available at the event, with QR code options available to assist with lines. 

In addition to enjoying Austin FC’s first-ever MLS watch party and season kick-off, a YETI pop-up store will be on site, providing the opportunity to purchase Austin FC and YETI co-branded merchandise.

Entry into the Austin FC Watch Party Presented By YETI will begin 90 minutes before kickoff to allow attendants enough time to settle into their pods and prepare to enjoy this historic match.
