Austin FC and Dawn®, America’s #1 dish liquid, announced today a new partnership between the organizations. Together, the two (2) will collaborate on the “Free Kicks for Free Meals” initiative to fight food insecurity across Central Texas. For every free kick Austin FC is awarded during home and away matches in 2022, a donation will be made to a Central Texas-based hunger relief organization.
“Austin FC and Dawn are aligned in our dedication to fighting the issue of food insecurity across Central Texas,” said Austin FC President Andy Loughnane. “From our work last season with Central Texas Food Bank to this new partnership and initiative, we’re committed to ensuring that all members of our community have access to the resources they need to thrive and be healthy.”
“Food insecurity is near to my heart, as I grew up in poverty and my family lived on Food Stamps,” said Dawn Brand Communications Manager Amy Sumontha. “During the pandemic, more people have experienced food insecurity, especially children – not to mention the huge racial disparity amongst those who are impacted. Our Dawn team is thrilled that we can begin making an impact and help feed those in need.”
