Long before Austin was crowned the capital of Texas, live oaks stood proud over the land. Some for more than 500 years. Now they stand for us, a symbol of our community’s strength and resolve. Together, we rise as one to grow the legend of our Club and our City.
Our signature color projects the vibrancy and creative energy of Austin.
The name of our legendary city is proudly positioned atop the towering oaks.
Two live oaks working together as one stands for the bond between Club and City.
Eleven leaves are held aloft by the branches, representing the eleven players on the pitch being lifted by our supporters.
Four roots join forces to symbolize all of Austin – north, south, east and west – coming together to create a powerful foundation for our Club.
The FC descriptor pays tribute to the origins of the sport, and embraces a universal standard recognized across cultures.
Anthony Precourt is the Founder, Majority Owner and Chief Executive Officer of both Two Oak Ventures (Two Oak) and Austin FC. Austin FC is Major League Soccer’s 27th franchise, and will be entering the league as a new expansion team in 2021. Austin FC is building a 100% privately-financed $242 million world-class, soccer specific stadium in north central Austin near The Domain.
Prior to his role with Two Oak and Austin FC, Precourt owned and operated Precourt Sports Ventures (PSV) and Columbus Crew SC. Under his leadership the soccer club reached new heights both on and off the field. Soccer operation highlights under his stewardship include qualifying for the MLS playoffs four out of five seasons, winning the Eastern Conference Championship in 2015 and hosting the MLS Cup that same season, reaching the Eastern Conference Finals in 2017, hiring and retaining head coach and sporting director Gregg Berhalter for five seasons before he was appointed head coach of the US Men’s National Team, and directing record setting international transfers of Giancarlo Gonzales and Zach Steffen to Palermo and Manchester City, respectively. Business operation highlights under his stewardship include leading a highly successful identity rebrand, securing the first ever stadium naming rights partner after the club had no such partner for its first 15 years, major capital improvements to the stadium and training grounds, and driving the club to unprecedented new high-water marks for the number of season tickets sold annually, number of sell outs per season and aggregate corporate sponsorship commitments.
In October 2017 an announcement was made that the team was exploring Austin, Texas as its new home. In late 2018, the Haslam Family, owners of the NFL’s Cleveland Browns, acquired the operating rights to Columbus Crew SC with a firm commitment to build a new soccer-specific stadium in Downtown Columbus. On January 15, 2019, Precourt and the City of Austin were awarded the 27th franchise in MLS.
Since 2008, Precourt has also served as the Managing Partner of Precourt Capital Management (PCM), an investment management firm. From 2001 to 2008, Precourt was a portfolio manager and Director of Research for WHV Investment Management, a $12 billion public equity investment management company. Precourt started his career in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions with both Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Banc Alex Brown.
